Event finish precinct
The official McDonald’s Brisbane Marathon Festival 2019 event precinct is at the Riverstage, Brisbane (59 Gardens Point Road, Brisbane City). The event precinct will be your best location to store baggage, access toilets and find information about your event.
As road closures will be in place for the event, we recommend seeking parking arrangements prior to race day (see below) and walking to the finish precinct.
We recommend parking in one of the following easy to access locations for your McDonald’s Brisbane Marathon Festival experience. Event participants and spectators can park at a variety of locations within short walking distance of the event start and finish line and close to a range of fantastic restaurants. Limited spaces available within each location, our parking partner Secure Parking are offering $5 daily parking at the following central locations : Wintergarden, 10 Browning Street (Southbank) & Parkade.
Arriving in Brisbane for the marathon?
Brisbane International and Domestic Airport are just 20 minutes from the central CBD by car. Alternatively catch the “airtrain” directly from the airport to the city in 20 minutes. Already in Brisbane?
Starting in the heart of Brisbane City, participants can enjoy convenient access to the start line on Alice Street. Road closures will be in place from 4.30am. Please ensure you check the official road closures and race buy liquid antibiotics briefing document once available.
Public transport options available
Quickly reach your destination on the start line for the Brisbane Marathon Festival with Brisbane’s fantastic network of train stations. Travel to Central Station in Brisbane CBD for a leisurely stroll to the start of your event.
Plan your public transport options to the McDonald’s Brisbane Marathon Festival by visiting Translink Government website. Please note the closest train station for the 42km, 21km and 10km start zone is South Bank station.

Travel the Brisbane River on the Brisbane CityCat service which operates 7 days a week.
Your terminal is the QUT Gardens Point at Alice Street.
(PLEASE NOTE: Ferry services will be operating ONLY after 7am on Sunday 6 August, so will provide a fantastic way to relax after finishing your event whilst taking in the fresh air of the Brisbane River.)
